This is the last Full Moon for the Summer. The Full Harvest Moon will appear for 3 days and will reach it’s peak illumination tomorrow at 5:58 AM EDT on Friday September 29th.
The low position of the Moon gives the yellowish color in this picture. It gives a low contrast with the clouds in the foreground. The first two hours of the Moon rise are the best times to make these captures in my opinion.
